Our Procedures

Blepharoplasty

Upper eyelid revision and lower eyelid revision, both known as blepharoplasty, reduce the drooping eyelid tissue. Overall, this improves the appearance of the eyelid and produces a rejuvenated and more alert appearance.

Cataract Surgery

Cataract surgery is a safe and effective way to restore vision. It’s usually done on an outpatient basis and only requires a short recover period. The surgeon generally completes the procedure in less than 10 minutes, and complications occur in less than one in 1,000 cases.

Comprehensive Eye Exams

Comprehensive eye exams actually offer an accurate indication of your overall health because ophthalmologists are often the first healthcare professionals to detect chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes.

Eyelid Surgery for Aging Eyes

Surgery is usually the best treatment for drooping eyelids. This specialized surgical procedure for dermatochalasis is called blepharoplasty, and is usually performed by an ophthalmologist who has special training in handling these delicate areas surrounding your eyes.

Glaucoma Surgery

While glaucoma is often treated with medicated eye drops, sometimes surgery becomes necessary. We perform selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT), a procedure that uses a low-level energy laser to target specific cells in the trabecular meshwork, the eye’s drainage channels.

IOLs

An IOL is a clear, plastic lens that requires no care and becomes a permanent part of the eye. Based on test results, a surgeon will recommend the best IOL for each individual patient. The three types of IOL are traditional, toric and multifocal.

Laser-Assisted Cataract Surgery

Laser Cataract Surgery is a fully customizable, precision care solution for restoring your clearest possible vision. This pre-planned outpatient procedure offers predictability and convenience.

LASIK

LASIK eye surgery is a safe procedure option for patients who wish to reduce or eliminate their need for glasses or corrective lenses. LASIK is the most common type of refractive surgery (surgery that changes the shape of your cornea).

Oculoplastics & Reconstructive Surgery

Oculoplastic surgery refers to a wide variety of surgical procedures that treat the eyelids, tear ducts and the face.

Refractive Surgery

Refractive lensectomy, also called refractive lens exchange, corrects nearsightedness or farsightedness. By replacing the eye’s natural lens, which has the wrong power, with an artificial intraocular lens implant (IOLs), this procedure provides the correct power for the eye. It uses the same techniques of modern cataract surgery.

YAG Laser Procedure

Problems after cataract surgery are rare but can occur. Sometimes the tissue that encloses the artificial intraocular lens becomes cloudy and blurs the vision. This is called an after-cataract. This can develop months or even years after cataract surgery. This outpatient procedure is treated with a laser, called YAG laser capsulotomy.
