Dr. Hubbard was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Houston, medical degree from Texas A&M Health Sciences Center, and completed Ophthalmology residency at Casey Eye Institute in Portland, OR.

During his time at Casey, Dr. Hubbard was as one of the chief residents and was responsible for organizing resident wellness initiatives as well as organizing teambuilding events. He also served as a member of the Casey Advancement of Diversity and Inclusion in Ophthalmology (CADIO) committee participating in mentorship of underrepresented groups in Ophthalmology.

In his spare time, Dr. Hubbard enjoys cooking, weightlifting, reading, hiking and is an avid sauna enthusiast.
